PAHUD GEARING UP FOR 2ND LATE MODEL START SATURDAY

HARRISBURG, N.C. – INEX legends car champion Christian PaHud is ready to make his second start in a NASCAR limited late model stock car this Saturday at Kenly, North Carolina’s Southern National Raceway Park. PaHud will drive an Orion Motorsports No. 44 in the 125-lap affair, which is a part of the track’s annual Thanksgiving Classic. The race was originally scheduled for last weekend but was moved to Dec. 5 and 6 due to adverse weather.

PaHud, 15, made his stock car debut on Nov. 1 at Tri-County (N.C.) Motor Speedway where he finished an impressive fourth in the 150-lap limited late model feature. Christian will drive a different Orion entry this time, a No. 44 that has been freshened for the event. Read More...

HUDSON, N.C. – After months of preparation, Christian PaHud made his first start in a stock car Saturday night in the inaugural Halloween Havoc Limited Late Model World Championship at Tri-County (N.C.) Motor Speedway. A regular throughout the past two seasons in the INEX legends car division, PaHud drove a terrific race in the Orion Motorsports-owned No. 14, qualifying and starting seventh in the 30-car field and finishing fourth after running as high as third in the 150-lap affair.

“We definitely had a great day, and I’m really pleased,” said PaHud, a 15-year-old Harrisburg, N.C., resident. “We adjusted on the car through Thursday and Friday’s practice and got it pretty good for the race. We were running third with about 10 (laps) to go and the car and I actually pushed up too high coming out of (Turn) 4 and got into the fence. That broke a locker in the rear-end and it loosened up the car quite a bit and we lost third.” Read More...

CONCORD, N.C. – Christian PaHud will return to Concord Motorsport Park this weekend for the last two legends car races of the season at the track’s quarter-mile oval. PaHud will race Friday night followed by a Saturday afternoon race to close the Fall Series for INEX legends cars.

The 15-year-old Harrisburg, N.C., racer will be looking for his first win of the Fall Series this weekend following two second-place results there last Friday and Saturday. Read More...

CONCORD, N.C. – Christian PaHud finished second Saturday night in the INEX legends car pro 25-lap feature at Concord Motorsport Park. PaHud started the feature third and was forced to go to rear of the field early in the race because of an accident when another driver missed a shift on a restart. PaHud recovered, however, driving back to second and finishing the runner-up position behind teammate Jessie Bunnell.

“We were running fourth with a few to go when the two leaders got into each other and wrecked,” PaHud explained. “That put us in second and I tried hard to get by Jessie, but I wasn’t going to pass him unless I could do it clean. We settled for second, and it was a pretty good run for us, especially since we had to go to the tail of the field in the beginning.” Read More...

HUDSON, N.C. – Harrisburg, N.C., legends car racer Christian PaHud tested an Orion Motorsports limited late model stock car for the second time in two weeks last Thursday at Tri-County Motor Speedway. By the end of the test session, PaHud was lapping the four-tenths mile speedway at times capable of sitting on the pole for limited late model features throughout the summer at the western North Carolina oval.

“It was another good test, and I’m glad we could put it together with Team Full Throttle and Orion Motorsports,” said PaHud. “We ran good, consistent laps in the first session and then we started adjusting on the car and treating it more like a race day. We got going really good and I guess the times were around pole times. It was a good day for us in preparing for racing a late model next season”. Read More...

CONCORD, N.C. – Christian PaHud returned to racing at Concord Motorsport Park’s quarter-mile oval Friday and Saturday night, as the track ran their first legends car races since the spring on account of the 10-race Quaker Steak & Lube Summer Shootout Series at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Apparently PaHud did not forget his way around Concord; the 15-year-old racer picked up second-place finishes in the pro legends car 25-lap features on both Friday and Saturday.

“It was good to get back to racing at Concord; it’s a fun track and we run well there,” PaHud said. “Both nights were good racing. On Friday we were side-by-side for the lead for about five or six laps and then we got shuffled back to third and ended up getting back to second. Saturday was another second-place run; Daniel Hemric (the winner both nights) is just a little better than us right now. We’ve got to get a little faster to keep up with him; he’s running really well.” Read More...

BRASELTON, Ga. – Harrisburg, North Carolina’s Christian PaHud accomplished finishes of third and fourth in two INEX legends car regional qualifiers on Friday and Saturday night. On Friday at Tri-County (N.C.) Motor Speedway, PaHud started sixth and finished third. On Saturday at Lanier (Ga.) National Speedway, PaHud started a deep 12th and advanced to finish fourth in a borrowed racecar.

“On Friday we battled a tight car pretty much all night,” PaHud began. “We got to third by the end of the first lap and rode there the rest of the race. Saturday was a little more interesting. Our car had a knocking in the engine so we decided not to race it. Zack Alspach offered his car to me for the pro race so I drove that.” Read More...

BRASELTON, Ga. – Christian PaHud continues to travel to different Southeastern short tracks with his No. 63 INEX legends car and continues to have strong showings nearly everywhere he competes.

PaHud started 12th in the 20-lap pro legends car feature and finished sixth after contact, which resulted in a spin, caused him to restart from the rear of the field in the early stages of the feature. SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – Christian PaHud and the Kyle Beattie Racing team traveled to South Boston Speedway Saturday for an INEX regional event for legends cars at the four-tenths mile oval. PaHud started first and finished second in the pro legends class 23-car feature. The race followed a third-place effort for PaHud Friday night at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C.

“It was a good weekend,” PaHud commented. “We were real pleased after the good run at South Boston. It was a tough field with a lot of good cars so to come out of there with a second is great for us. We’ve had an up-and-down season, but hopefully the good weekend can help us get back to where we need to be.” Read More...

ASHEBORO, N.C. – In a 25-lap race that went green to checkered without a single caution, Christian PaHud passed at least one car nearly every lap to go from 19th to second in the INEX legends car feature at Caraway Speedway Friday night.

“The only car we didn’t pass was the winner, and he started on the pole,” says PaHud. “The car was really hooked up and it was a lot of fun going through the field like we did. We were passing cars every lap and it was a good, clean race. We have a lot of fun going to Caraway and running well. Read More...

ASHEBORO, N.C. – Christian PaHud won the 25-lap pro legends car feature at Caraway Speedway Friday night. Starting third, PaHud ran second for most of the race before getting the lead on a late-race restart and led the remainder of the event.

“We only got three laps of practice,” PaHud began. “We qualified sixth and they had the top-six qualifiers draw for (starting) position and I drew third so we got a decent starting spot. We ran second for most of the race and ended up getting the lead after a restart. We held on from there. It was good to get the win at Caraway. There’s always a good field out there and tough competition to race against.” Read More...

PAHUD MOVES FROM BACK TO 4TH SATURDAY AT HICKORY

NEWTON, N.C. – INEX Legends car racer Christian PaHud started last and finished fourth in the 20-lap Legends car Pro class Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway. PaHud, 15, started scratch in the 15-car field because his transponder didn’t pick up his qualifying lap time.

“The car was really good. This track is great to race on. I’m not sure what happened with the transponder during qualifying, but it hurt us because we had to come from the back. It was fun racing through the field and we’re pretty happy to come out of it with a fourth. We didn’t get any cautions toward the end to give us a chance to move up,” PaHud said. Read More...

PAHUD 19TH TO EIGHTH IN SUMMER SHOOTOUT OPENER

CONCORD, N.C. – Christian PaHud had to run the B-main Tuesday at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in order to qualify for the 20-lap INEX 600 Racing Quaker Steak and Lube Summer Shootout Pro Legends car feature after a disappointing heat-race result. The 15-year-old promptly won the B-Main and started 19th in the feature, passing numerous cars with the aid of only one caution before finishing eighth.

“The car was hooked up,” PaHud said after Tuesday night’s feature. “I went into the race ready to run the top-side of the track. I ran the top and bottom and just passed as many cars as I could. With only one caution, and starting 19th, it’s really hard to get up to the front so we’re satisfied with an eighth-place finish to start the shootout.”Read More...

CONCORD, N.C. – Team Full Throttle NASCAR Driver Development racer Christian PaHud started on the pole and finished third Friday night in the 20-lap Pro Legends car race at Concord Motorsport Park. Sunday’s race at Concord was cancelled due to thunderstorms in the Charlotte area.

“Usually when we start on the pole we expect to win,” PaHud said, referring to Friday’s third-place finish. “We led the first half of the race but the car got really tight and a couple of cars got by us. At Concord we run against the best of the best, so finishing third with a tight racecar is still a decent night for us.” Read More...
